Healing Hearts, a non-profit hardcover book of drawings and text sent to every family worldwide who lost someone on 911.
The book was endorsed by NY Governor George Pataki and US Senator Charles Schumer as the official gift sent to victim families. We were the only non-governmental entity to get the complete list of addresses.
The book opens with a double gatefold upon which every victim's name is printed in full (including nick names), in iridescent gold, without a single name bridging a line break, a noteworthy typographical achievement.

Each page features drawings by John Coburn and remarks by ordinary New Yorkers.
It's an important historical document because we were given access to places, such as the rescue workers
sleeping quarters above, where no photographers were allowed.
The UK hosted an event at their embassy to give books to their citizens. Japan provided a complete translation. Books went to families in 90 countries.
We fund-raised to create the book. FedEx covered almost $12,000 in shipping costs. A major corporation wanted to finance a second edition so every school in America could have a copy, but we declined because they wanted their logo on it.
